The Personal support worker provides personal care and performs selected tasks , which are within their knowledge and skill, under the direction of their supervisor.

Job Responsibilities:

1. To adhere to the plan of care as determined by the supervisor.
2. To facilitate residents' move in and transfers where applicable.
3. To observe and report on residents/clients care/service utilizing appropriate forms.
4. To assist residents /clients with personal care, hygiene and activities of daily living.
5. To observe and report any changes in residents/clients condition to supervisor
6. To escalate medical emergencies to supervisor or emergency medical services as appropriate.
7. To assist with ambulation, mobilization, transferring and adaptive aids.
8. To demonstrate understanding of residents/client needs and maximize abilities.
9. To maintain resident/client information confidential
10.To respond to resident/client/family concerns and ensure appropriate action is taken within decision-making authority and/or concern communicate to the supervisor.
11.To uphold and promote the organization's values and philosophy relating particularly to ethics , morality , and integrity.
12.To complete other duties assigned.
